Welcome to the dark and wonderful world of Broken Ashler, a world where masonic conspiracy theory and reality meet. In Broken Ashler you will follow the journey of young Alabama attorney Randy Craine as he joins the ranks of the Freemasons. Along the way Randy will learn that not all men are who they proclaim to be, and that some conspiracy theories are real, but the everyday lives of men can be far worse when pride and ego give way to the passions of greed, anger, and lust creating the event when the Ashlar becomes the Ashler and you ask yourself, “what would it take for me to kill a brother?”

In the Broken Ashler television series you will experience the trials and tribulations of our cast in dark cinematic form. You will also gain a sneak peek into the world of Freemasonry with the filming of the “secret” rituals of the order. Come along for the journey and see what it takes to survive this world of dark intrigue, where you can give in and join our vicious lads in their search for “a good time”!

Bio

Terry W. Wester

Alabama native and former 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason who brings technical expertise on the ritual of Alabama Freemasonry and the experiences of Masons in Alabama. He has served positions with Shriners, Scottish Rite, York Rite, F and AM Blue Lodge Masonry, Royal Order of Scotland, and various other Masonic Bodies. He is the creator/co-writer/producer/actor of the Broken Ashler Series and Broken Ashler Short Film. Terry is also the creator and writer of the Ruffians – A Broken Ashler Graphic Novel series that is scheduled for release in 2025.

Terry’s other works include the creation of two additional film projects, the Order Out of Chaos documentary and the short film Twinkletoes: To Dance the Apocalypse Away. His acting resume includes various roles in Voice Over, Lead, and Supporting cast.

Kevin Wayne

Kevin Wayne is an accomplished American actor, director, and producer known for his versatile work in both film and television. With a career spanning several years, he has built a reputation for delivering powerful performances across a range of genres. As a director and producer, Wayne has also shown a keen ability to craft compelling narratives, bringing unique projects to life on screen. In addition to his work in film and TV, Wayne has ventured into the world of literature, authoring his first children’s chapter book series. The series reflects his creativity and passion for storytelling, offering young readers exciting and engaging adventures. His work across multiple mediums showcases his broad artistic talents and commitment to creating captivating experiences for audiences of all ages.

Matthew Wester

Alabama native with experience in poultry production and leadership. Another outsider of the film industry who brings fresh eyes to the production of the Broken Ashler Series. His family experience with the Masonic Fraternity includes family members and his personal story of being told that he could not be a Freemason in Alabama. Matthew brings with him the necessary life experience to validate the concerns and truth of marginalized populations in Alabama to ensure that the characters of Broken Ashler are seen from a proper perspective.

Robert McDonald

Robert McDonald joins the world of Broken Ashler with an abundance of writing energy. His past work includes the Roger Devereax Series: Tragic City, Red Light Run, No More Violets, and The Muscle Shoals Pick Me Up. He has also produced a book of short stories (Alabama Red Clay) and has been included in number of anthologies with various publications.

His love of writing and intimate knowledge of the local area allows us to dig deeper into the world of Broken Ashler by adding his characteristic grit and gift of character dialogue. While not a Freemason himself, Robert has been exposed to the fraternity with numerous friends and family, his view as an outsider looking in also provides our viewers with a fresh set of eyes, through lenses not filtered by the "craft."
